Industry Roadmaps
All industries are eco-systems. In order for an industry to be healthy, all parts need to be accounted for and healthy. Identifying all the skills, technologies, partners and advocates are an essential first step. This is followed by nurturing the parts that are under-developed. Finally, you need to look forward and project where things are headed and ensure that everyone understands this transition and can reach there together. As someone who has played a part in many aspects of the media eco-system, I have a unique perspective on why things are the way they are and where they are headed.
Program Advisory Committee
As a member of the Program Advisory Committee for DigiPen, we meet annually to discuss the curriculum, the students and the future of the industry.
Singapore Skills Framework refresh and update
In 2024 I was invited to participate in the update of the Skills Framework for Media in Singapore. This is a national initiative to map out all the skills needed for the Media industry, all the potential careers and career pathways. This process involved numerous parties, months of research, papers and proposals. You can find out more about the end result from IMDA with the info link on the left.
VFX Atlas Contributor
The VFX Atlas is an invaluable resource that maps out all the different companies and people in the VFX and Animation industries. I was a direct contributor to their data acquisition for Asia and also contributed an opinion piece about the region.
Trade Associations
